Yields a strong colour brew with woody earthy flavour and no bitterness. Strictly speaking it is one of its kind; it needs to be aged before deemed drinkable. This particular one is between 2 – 3 yrs old.
Pu-erh is well known in Chinese medicine to be good for digestion, melts away fat, and gentle to the stomach. Part of the reason this is the tea to accompany Chinese banquet or fatty food.
